Hamilton Pocket Watches
One of the many companies to produce the well known pocket watches is Hamilton Watch Company. They produce Hamilton pocket watches and are a very well known American manufacturer. Their origins date all the way back to the late 1800’s. They belong to the swatch group and originated in the year 1892 in the state of Pennsylvania in the town of Lancaster.
They got their beginnings after the Keystone Standard Watch Company went bankrupt. The name Hamilton originated because a man by the name of James Hamilton owned the land the company originally got built on. It was a 13 acre piece of land. In 1966 the Buren Watch Company was obtained by Hamilton as well which joined the two divisions across the oceans.
Hamilton pocket watches are well known and they are very popular as well. They are not the common cheap pocket watches that are found. Many pocket watches are available to purchase. One of the most popular types are silver pocket watches because of their appearance and being cost effective. They are revolutionary and still today create new masterpieces that showcase the talent and work done by the company.
Hamilton pocket watches are produced in a variety of materials including stainless steel and both white and yellow gold plating. They often produce their watches as limited edition items with only a set number being produced before production is halted. Only 1,000 of their Ventura models were ever released to the public for purchase.
A good pocket watch is one that fits the owner, whether it is one of the silver pocket watches or the Hamilton pocket watches so many people know and love.
